The IBC will be offering two camps with each designed to serve a different age group and level of proficiency. For children ages 3-5 years old the IBC is offering its 7th annual Summer Storybook Camp and for students 6-9 years old it is offering the 8th annual Young Dancer Intensive. Each of the camps are open to boys and girls.

The Summer Storybook Camp is a great way to introduce your young child to the wonders of ballet while they are having fun. The day is divided into segments of formal ballet instruction, a story time that introduces them to the literature and stories behind some of the great ballets and an activities/crafts session geared toward developing a better understanding of the world of ballet.

This camp runs from June 5-16 and will be taught by IBC Preparatory Division instructor and a former graduate of the school, Courtney Messier. Campers can attend the entire two-week camp or just for a single week. The camp runs from 9:00am-12:00pm with early drop off and late pick up also being offered. No prior ballet training is required.

As the name suggest, the Young Dancer Intensive is geared for a student with some ballet training. The IBC recommends that campers have a minimum of 1 year of training. This camp runs from June 5-23 for ages 8-9, with a one-week offering from June 19-23 for ages 6-7. The Young Dancer Intensive is offered as a complete program that includes instruction in ballet technique, original choreography, conditioning/stretching, historical dance, and seminars on nutrition and wellness. The camp runs from 9:00am-1:00pm. The Young Dancer Intensive will be taught Hailey Agran, the Head of the IBC Preparatory Division and has been teaching this program for several years.

IBC Awards:
*IBC received the Outstanding School award for the 6th time from Youth America Grand Prix at the Boston Regionals and Alyona Yakovleva-Randall, IBC Founding Artistic Director, was awarded the Outstanding Teacher award for the 2nd time at the YAGP Chicago Regionals.
