Body Outfitters Celebrates One Year in Carmel
Zionsville-based Body Outfitters Personal Training Studio is celebrating the 1 year anniversary of its Carmel location. It is located just east of Meijer at the intersection of Carmel Drive and Adams Street in the Boardwalk Shops.
Owner Mark Moreland spoke about what differentiates Body Outfitters from other personal training studios and why he is excited moving into the 2nd year serving the Carmel community.
Moreland shared, “We don’t just do workouts here. You can get a workout on every corner of Carmel. The trainers at Body Outfitters build unique programs to improve how you look, move, and feel. It’s YOUR workout and our customers are getting results!”
He continued, “Over the past year we’ve enjoyed celebrating the accomplishments of our customers. One couple we serve has lost a combined 116 pounds while getting stronger. Another customer is now walking without pain in her back due to a stronger core and improved flexibility. Some simply express they feel great and have more strength and energy to move through their day. Specific or general. Goals big or small. It is an honor to help them succeed.”
While group fitness is the dominant trend in exercise right now, Body Outfitters holds true to the small-studio, one-on-one feel and structure.
“There will always be people who value exercise but do not want to work out in a group setting. We’re here for those people and provide a personal environment and plan. On the other hand, many of our customers attend group cardio workouts outside of our studio and work with us for strength and fat-loss. It’s a great match.”
Rebecca Brown is a degreed and certified personal trainer working at the Carmel location and has been with Body Outfitters since before it opened its Carmel location.
Brown explained, “Our customers are amazed at what they can accomplish in a 30-minute workout. While each session is built to the customer’s goals, each session includes strength work to boost the muscle, joint, and bone integrity, and your metabolism. If you have fat loss and appearance goals, we also focus on increasing how much muscle you have since this will drive calorie burning, tone, and shape your physique. Both men and women like the results of this style of training, especially when our ladies realize they won’t “bulk-up” with this style of training with us.”
Brown continued, “Clients can come in by appointment between the hours of 6 a.m. and 7 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 6 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Fridays and on Saturdays from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. We usually do quick group sessions on Saturday mornings. Clients are welcome to come in and use the cardio equipment anytime the front door is open. We are really convenient for people who want to make an appointment during a lunch hour, have a half-hour workout and use our shower facilities before heading back to work.”
Body Outfitters operates on a different business structure than most other personal training studios.
“There are no contracts, no long-term commitments of any kind,” Moreland said. “Our service is month-to-month and is a la carte, so your cost is determined by how much coaching you need based on your goals, schedule, and budget. It is our job to earn your business every month with results and customers stay because they love what they’re receiving.”
